FAQ

Are your meditation instructors certified or trained in any particular tradition?

Yes, our meditation instructors are trained in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. They have received training and authorization from our spiritual director, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, and other qualified teachers in our lineage. We also offer courses and retreats led by visiting teachers from various Buddhist traditions.

Do you sell only traditional items or do you offer modern interpretations as well?

We offer both traditional and modern interpretations of Buddhist items in our store. We believe that Buddhism is a living tradition that can adapt to the needs and interests of people today. Our selection includes items such as prayer flags, malas, incense, statues, books, and CDs.

Can you help me find specific items I am looking for, even if they are not currently listed on your website?

Yes, we are happy to assist you in finding specific items that you may be looking for, even if they are not currently listed on our website. Please feel free to contact us via email or phone with your request, and we will do our best to help you find what you need.

How does the temple contribute to the local community or society at large?

As a Buddhist center, our main contribution to the community is offering teachings and practices that can help individuals develop inner peace, wisdom, and compassion. We also participate in local interfaith events and support charitable organizations that align with our values. In addition, we offer meditation classes and retreats that are open to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs.

How can individuals get involved or become members of the temple?

Individuals can get involved with our center by attending our classes, retreats, and events, or by volunteering their time and skills to support our activities. We do not have a formal membership program, but we welcome anyone who shares our interest in Buddhism and meditation. To stay informed about our activities and events, you can sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media.

A wonderful peaceful, beautiful place. Tye staff were extremely welcoming and it was a true reflection of Tibetan Buddhism. I really respect how they kept the original architecture from the old English house along with the tibetan decor. The library was extensive also. A great place to go for meditation and contemplation. The only one downside was none of the monks were there at that time but the people I met were very friendly and helpful.
