Absolutely awful. The only positive thing about this place is the quick turnaround times. I have given ‘Golden Needle’ many extra chances, thinking that their poor work was just a fluke, but have been reliably disappointed. They have ruined a small handful of expensive clothes that I needed repaired by doing botch job each time. Last time I used their services, I had a pair of expensive chinos with a small hole in the knee. I asked them to stitch it up neatly. The result? A whacking great big patch over the small hole, with haphazard sewing rendering the trousers unwearable to any formal event. The damage caused was beyond repair. This is just the latest in a litany of offences they have inflicted upon both my wardrobe and my trust in them. I have given them too many chances over too long a timeframe (a couple of years now). I am a fool for having done so. Please, if you care about your clothes, do not use this place.

Good value, knowledgeable staff, changing cubicles in the shop and really quick turnaround: I had a pair of trousers taken up and they were ready within 2 hours. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it was cash only when I went. There’s a cash machine at Lloyd’s bank opposite.
