The sun was out the sky blue and the temperature rather cold. The park and woodland in my opinion is the best in Leeds, with a busy cafe the car parks are always full it has not failed on this visit.

A really large park with two ponds and a nature reserve. You can do a number of loops around the park, each one will be a minimum of 1 mile each. A lot of effort has been put in by the council in maintaining and improving the pathways. Its a really peaceful place to go for a walk. I would also say it suitable for people in wheelchairs and pushchair. You can see this in the range of people you see as you go around Once you have finished your walk or run you can head to the cafe to get some refreshments or food. The cafe is very reasonably priced with tea at around £2 and coffee costing £3. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a large picnic area if you want to have a family day out. Also golden acre park is surrounded on each side by farmland so very little noise.
