    I booked an appointment with Dr Marilena Nikolaidou on Saturday 28th January 2023 to have some moles and skin tags removed. I was recommended by my sister who had a similar procedure a week before and was so happy with the end result. I have always been self-conscious since I was a child of having moles on my neck. The reason why I didn't get them removed before was because the procedures a few years ago would of left a permanent scar. When I spoke to Dr Marilena Nikolaidou, her knowledge on the difference between moles and skin tags were amazing. She explained how they form and went into detail about the procedure. The procedure lasted less than 30 minutes. I was left with some minor scabs and after 2 weeks they have gone and you can see the end result. The only marks are red blemishes which will fade away. It was money well spent and now I'm not self-conscious especially in the summer months. I highly recommend :-).

I had surgery on my nose (narrow septum) in Greece and had to have a re-check after 1 month. That's how I made an appointment at this particular clinic. During the phone call I had with the secretariat, I informed them that I should be seen by an ENT doctor. I explained to them exactly what they needed to check on my nose. I was informed that the cost is £170 and I have to pay a £90 deposit which is normal. When I went to the clinic on the day of my appointment, after waiting a while filling in some information that was needed, I went upstairs to be seen by the ENT doctor. After a while after examining me locally on the nose but only from the outside and a little inside, i.e. what she could see with her eyes, she asked me if I want her to examine me also through my nose with an endoscope. I replied that of course, that's why I came anyway. He then informed me that he would have to use the endoscope and that was an extra charge. I replied that no one informed me about such a thing when I was down at the secretariat and when I called them at the beginning. The doctor (who was very helpful and good as a doctor, who just happened to work at that particular clinic) informed the secretariat about the incident. After 2-3 minutes, a secretary came into the examination room to inform me that the fee for using the endoscope is another £100 and that when I had phoned them I was told that there are extra fees, which is not the case. I had to agree to pay another £100 as I had no choice, I had already paid £170. Personally, I have no complaints from this secretary (who was very helpful and good at her job, also she was not the same person I had the phone contact with in the beginning to book an appointment). But not even from the doctor (who examined me very well). I think that charging extra for the use of a tool (endoscope) is absurd. It is a tool that an ENT doctor must have to do his job. It's like saying that a carpenter, electrician, plumber, etc. will charge you more if they use their screwdriver. The endoscope is a tool that the doctor will use on other patients, and not a material that he will have to buy every time he sees a patient. (Original) Ειμαι αρκετά δυσαρεστημενος από τις τιμές, αλλά κυρίως τις επιπλέον χρεώσεις της κλινικής. Εκανα εγχείρηση στην μύτη μου (στενό διάφραγμα) στην Ελλάδα και έπρεπε να κάνω έναν επανέλεγχο μετά από 1 μήνα. Ετσι έκλεισα ραντεβού στην συγκεκριμένη κλινική. Κατα την διάρκεια της τηλεφωνικής επικοινωνίας που είχα με την γραμματεία, τους ενημερώσα πως πρέπει να με δει ένας ΩΡΛ γιατρός. Τους εξήγησα ακριβώς τι έπρεπε να ελέγξουν στην μυτη μου. Με ενημέρωσαν ότι το κόστος είναι £170 και πρέπει να πληρώσω £90 deposit, κάτι που είναι νορμάλ. Οταν πήγα στην κλινική την ημέρα που είχα ραντεβού, αφού περίμενα λίγο συμπληρωντας μερικά στοιχεία που χρειαζονταν, ανέβηκα πάνω να με δει η ΩΡΛ γιατρός. Μετα από λίγο αφού με εξέτασε τοπικά στην μύτη αλλά μόνο από έξω και λίγο μέσα, δηλαδη όσα μπορούσε να δει με τα μάτια της, με ρώτησε αν θέλω να με εξετάσει και μέσα από την μυτη μου με ενδοσκοπιο. Την απάντησα πως φυσικά, για αυτό τον λόγο ήρθα εξάλλου. Τοτε με ενημέρωσε πως θα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιησει το ενδοσκοπιο και αυτό είναι έξτρα χρέωση. Την απάντησα πως για κάτι τέτοιο δεν με ενημέρωσε κανένας όταν ήμουν κάτω στην γραμματεία και όταν τους πήρα τηλ στην αρχή. Η γιατρός (που ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετική και καλή σαν γιατρός, που απλα δούλευε στην συγκεκριμένη κλινική) ενημέρωσε την γραμματεία για το συμβάν. Υστερα από 2-3 λεπτά ήρθε μία γραμματέας μέσα στο εξεταστηριο για να με ενημερώσει ότι η χρέωση για την χρήση του ενδοσκοπιου είναι άλλα £100 και πως όταν είχα την τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία μαζί τους μου είχαν πει ότι υπάρχουν έξτρα χρεώσεις, κάτι που δεν ισχύει. Αναγκάστηκα να δεχτώ να πληρώσω αλλα £100, αφού δεν είχα άλλη επιλογή, ήδη είχα πληρώσει £170. Προσωπικα δεν έχω κανένα παράπονο από την συγκεκριμένη γραμματέα (που ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετική και καλή στην δουλειά της, επίσης δεν ήταν η ίδια που είχα την τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία στην αρχή για να κλείσω ραντεβού). Αλλά ούτε από την γιατρό (που με εξέτασε πολύ καλά). Θεωρω πως να χρεώνεις επιπλέον για την χρήση ενός εργαλείου (ενδοσκοπιο) είναι παράλογο. Ειναι ένα εργαλείο που είναι απαραίτητο να το έχει ένας ΩΡΛ γιατρός για να κάνει την δουλειά του. Ειναι σαν να λέμε πως ένας μαραγκός, ηλεκτρολόγος, υδραυλικός κ.α θα σε χρεώσουν παραπάνω αν χρησιμοποιήσουν τον βιδολογο τους. Το ενδοσκοπιο είναι ένα εργαλείο (tool) που ο γιατρός θα το χρησιμοποιήσει και σε άλλους ασθενείς, και όχι ένα υλικό (material) που θα πρέπει να το αγοράσει κάθε φορά που βλέπει έναν ασθενή.
