Sold some old silver and gold that I thought was pretty worthless. Absolutely astonished at the price I got for them. The gentleman was so patient and polite, helped me understand what to look for on future pieces of jewellery and rounded up his offer as well. I felt a bit intimidated going up and ringing the doorbell but I needn't have - he put me at ease quickly. (and laughed at our attempts to keep chains from tangling by putting them in straws...and no, it didn't work!!) What I liked was his honesty up front "you've maybe got about £20's worth of silver here", and he wasn't wrong. Thankfully the gold made up for it!
