What a gem of a museum! so interesting with such friendly staff who were happy to walk us around or leave us to browse. There were lots of things to amuse the children and even arts and crafts for them to do. It's so easy to miss with just a small door leading off the high street. but well worth it, they even have a sweet little café where you can take your own food to eat while having a cup of tea or coffee.! and a lovely gift shop. I Highly recommend a visit!

Fab museum run by the most friendly and accommodating staff and volunteers. Really adored the Gertrude Jekyll room and would happily come just to see that again. The upstairs of the museum is also fabulous and, I imagine, would be incredible for children. When I visited, Susie Darnton was exhibiting her paintings and her new book, which she read aloud. Although it was a children's book, I adored it and would have happily listened to her all day! It is great that the museum is 'living' and provides an exhibition space to current artists and authors. I look forward to seeing what happens next! Great value cuppa in lovely surroundings in the garden and out!

Such lovely place to visit at Godalming! We were very lucky and had the change to meet with an artist and children books writer A dance In the moon) Susie Darnton. Her paintings are marvellous. Besides this is a small museum it has pretty interesting stuff (my favourite the women’s banner). To finish your visit you can always enjoy a cup of tea in the cosy garden.
