Having had a wheezing chest and hacking cough for over two weeks and despite having taken various over the counter remedies, my problem required professional help. As I was unable to get rapid assistance from GP I was advised to use the NHS Drop In service. Attended this evening at 7.30 to see an empty waiting room and was hopeful of a solution to my problem or at least some advice. Politely. Informed hat there were no “slots” left and there was no one available. I am over 80 years of age and am sorry to report that in this instance the system is not fit for purpose. What a pity.

Receptionists have taken too long to answer the phone, consistently over the past two years, and it seems to be getting even worse. The new record for me is waiting two hours and five minutes (this week). The previous record was 90 minutes at position 1 in the queue then the call was dropped by the receptionist when answered. Receptionist Chris was so helpful and went the extra mile but other receptionists have not been up to his standard. In the past week I’ve had to call 111 to get urgent issues resolved because receptionists have said it’s impossible to contact a practice doctor (during opening hours too). I deal with doctors surgeries in other localities and they don’t have any of these problems so I am confident it could be sorted out if there was a determination to do so.

The doctor called me for a phone appointment and was then able to fit me in at short notice. It took a little while to be seen when I got there (45 mins) but I was expecting that as I had been squeezed in and the doctor that I saw was excellent and very clear with what I needed.

In queues for ages and by ages over an hour. Never get through to anyone as soon as you do it disconnects straight away and you have to call back. Can never get an appointment for serious underlying health issues. Can’t sort out regular meds as can never get hold of them. It’s ridiculous. Put forms into change to another surgery as this one is beyond a joke

This place decided to take on 500000 extra patients which completely outrageous. Now you can't have any appointments and when you get one in 2 months time they cancel one day before saying doctor of Sick or nurse not coming. All they car about is emergency appointments in the morning so they can make lots of money from it.

On hold for 25 minutes to be told there are no appointments even after being referred by 111. Apparently "Just go to A&E" is the answer. Not even worth 1 star.
