I had the unfortunate need to use The Affordable Funeral Company in April 2023 for my mums funeral. I have to say the service they provided was amazing! They were always on hand to answer queries and found my mum the perfect minister to perform the funeral. Everything was perfect and I could not of been happier with how wevrything came together. They were extremely professional and courteous throughout. I truly feel my mum had the perfect send off for her and I couldn't of done it without the help of The Affordable Funeral Company.

When my father died, our world fell apart. We had previously had bad experiences with 2 other funeral companies. We rang Stuart at 6pm one night and was on the phone for about 45mins. He was AMAZING, he gave us a wealth of information (even though we weren’t customers at that point) tell us what we could claim, financial support we could get and other information. We made an appointment to meet Stuart, laughing about the name ‘The Affordable Funeral Company’ and my dad being a Yorkshire Man. From the second we walked in we felt at ease, cared for, and respected. My younger sister has Down Syndrome (but is very intelligent and wanted to be involved with everything!) Stuart ensured that she was treated as well as both myself and my mother. This was something Stuart did without any prompting from us, he instinctively knew how to talk to her and approach her. Stuart was so thoughtful, when my sister and I went to see my dad in the chapel of rest - nothing was too much trouble and my dad looked so, so peaceful. On the day of the funeral I rang Stuart early as I wanted to check a detail - he was so calm, putting my fears to one side. He treated my dad and my family with the utmost respect. He was down to earth - even sharing a joke about the football shaped flowers we’d ordered. He consistently went above and beyond. He was open and honest - especially about price, he estimated the cost of the funeral and he was spot on (we spent £5 more). It’s never a nice time organising a funeral - it’s one of the worst times of my life. But Stuart helped to take away some of the stress, worry and pain. Not only for myself but for my mum and my sister. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone, and the words ‘Thank You’ will never be enough! Thank you so much Stuart!!! From the Malaure family!!

I'm once again putting a review for the affordable funeral company. It is the 3rd time I have used them and the 3rd funeral was for my precious and very special mum. Like all the time before Stuart gave more than 100% outstanding service they treated my mum with total respect and dignity. Stuart even made sure my mum had a very strong and lovely pink coffin. Yes people say with them being cheap you will get a rubbish service. This is far from the truth the service you receive not just for the family member you have very sadly lost but respect is given to the greifing family. I would 150% recommend that you use the affordable funeral company as you will only be given 1st class service. Thank you once again to Stuart and staff for the outstanding care and service you gave to my very precious mum who meant the whole world to me as to me my mum was a queen thank you doesn't seem enough for everything you do for family members and the loss of a cherished loved one 🌹🌹

We would highly reccommend this company. Stuart went above and beyond our expectations. Norma got the send off she deserved. Stuart and staff showed both sympathy and empathy ai all times. Every detail such as flags for the cars and umbrellas in case it rained were provided. We could not have asked for a better funeral company to ensure that Norma was well looked after.
