Glen Lea Dental Suite, Wetherby is chaotic. I had an emergency appointment today via NHS 111. I'm currently receiving benefits and there are no practises taking on new patients in my area, I believed I had an abscess in my broken tooth and so I had to access emergency treatment. When I arrived at reception I was asked to sign a box on an ipad and then fill out a form. After the appointment I was asked to pay. Once I got home I googled whether I should have paid and found that I should not due to receiving universal credit. I rang Glen Lea Dental Suite and spoke to the man working in reception who had given me the form to sign. He told me that I had signed the form and that was why I was charged. No one asked me if I was receiving benefits. Then he told me that I had to reclaim my money from the NHS. I kept insisting that as it was their mistake then I wanted them to refund me. I then spoke to the practise manager who attempted to blame me at first. Did I tell them I was on benefits? Why did I sign the form if I was on benefits? After that didn't work and I kept insisting that they pay me back she said she would get back to me. I believe that it's the practise manager's responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the business. The current practise manager of Glen Lea Dental Suite, Wetherby does not have the skills to ensure that the staff who work there are well-managed and therefore Glen Lea Dental Suite of Wetherby is not a well run practise. edited to add: the practise manager informed me that she would get back to me. This was at 3pm. I rang back at 6pm and was informed that they were busy, which was why the practise manager hadn't returned my call. They refunded me during the call.

It’s busy but James is great and the new nhs lady dentist is great too. Sure it takes a while to get a regular appointment but they don’t rush and are thoroughly professional. Been going here for 25+ years

"dentist" Lucinda verhees didn't give anesthetic to my 9 years daughter, when she start crying and shacking I asked why she didn't give answer was I didn't know if she is ok with it? Dentist supposed to asked, she was ok before now she is terrified of dentists! She is joke not a dentist! When she was giving injection my daughter was crying because she wasn't able to do it properly, than she drilled the tooth and slip so her gums start bleeding and my another 2 daughters was watching all that I will be putting formal complaint as well.

Just wanted to give praise to this practice. I've been registered with Glen Lea for many years but recently the experience (which, let's face it isn't what anyone looks forward to) has been brilliant. Helpful receptionists, always fit in with an emergency appointment if in pain, lovely smiley, chatty assistants, and the dentist's....! Fabulous! I saw Dami this week who was abit behind but stayed way over finishing time to sort my filling and cracked tooth. Didn't rush me through, administered anaesthetic without me even realising he had done it, no pain when my mouth became un-numbed, nice banter to keep anxiety low, lovely assistant who didn't put suction tube on my teeth (which I hate and is really uncomfortable for me) quiet music in background, altogether a great job. Thank you Dami and all staff.

Went here to having a filling done on a molar. The dentist injected local anaesthic and drilled a hole into the root canal of my molar, did the filling next to it and sent me packing. An agonising experience which they demanded money for. Do not visit this practice.

Frida has introduced me to Dentistry on a completely new level. As part of my implant treatment I had a badly broken tooth removed, a bone graft and stitched up within 22 minutes. I never felt a thing, including the injections. 24 hours later I have only felt slightly sore. Amazing.
