Gipton spa bath house was built in 1671 and is a grade 2 listed building, the plunge pool is 3m squared and 1.75m deep. Ice cold water from the nearby stream was used to fill up the bath and also a fireplace for people to 'sweat out' after bathing. Another great piece of leeds history
