The post office shop has reopened after refurbishment April/May 2023. A bottle of 19 Crimes white wine was £7.50 pre shutdown, since it's reopened I went in today and now costs £10 a bottle, 33% increase. That's just criminal!

Post office staff need more training, came with a pre-paid letter and parcel and was told that she couldn’t scan the letter through but can do the parcel. I work at a post office myself and this isn’t how it works, everything with a barcode or QR code can be scanned. Also a smile never hurts anyone, I’ve been here a few times and they struggle to even say hello.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I went to this post office today to post 8 pre-paid parcels so I could get proof of postage. Firstly, there was nobody who could serve me so I was told to wait 5 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, someone who could serve me finally turned up. I was then told they would only accept 5 of my 8 parcels because there is a limit of how many you can post. I wasn’t very happy because I had checked opening times on the website and the post office should have been open. It did not say anywhere that you could only post 5 parcels. I was told to come back another day to post my other 3 parcels. What a joke!

Fantastic customer service, staff is very helpful and polite. Always greeted with a smile and a small general conversation. I have been using GIlbertstone post office for almost 2 years now, even though i have a closer post office, i am happy to travel a little extra. Highly recommended.
