I decided to try out Gibsons because it is super convenient for me - just a few doors away - and was encouraged by the excellent reviews. My late 2015 Passat had a recurring coolant alert which the main VW agent had not managed to fix despite a couple of attempts. Dan quickly identified the issue as being a ruptured silicone bag in the coolant expansion bottle, and emailed me photos to illustrate. By the end of the day, the bottle was switched out for a new one, the system flushed through to make sure no debris remained and a few weeks later I can confirm with confidence the problem is fixed. I subsequently asked if he could check over a 2nd hand car I had bought from a dealer with mixed reviews to confirm they had carried out a cam belt change as promised before purchase, and to check for any other unpleasant surprises. £99 was well worth paying for reassurance that the work had been done and that the car was in very good mechanical condition along with the recommendation that I should swap out the coolant bottle to avoid the issue I had experienced with the Passat. I have since also had a painless and prompt MOT done on the Passat. Even if I had to travel some distance, I would be more than happy to do so for such efficient, reliable, friendly, and affordable service. For Dan to be local to me is the icing on the cake. 100% recommend.

Really great hidden gem! Had no idea about this place till a couple weeks ago. Went in for an MOT and they were brilliant, very helpful and down to earth, and it came back a good price. They even hovered my car (i do admit it was in desperate need of a clean and they probably just took pitty on me!)
