Took a 15kW motor for a rewind/overhaul about 5 months ago. Firstly, they installed the front and back bearings the wrong way round, and now the front bearing has failed. This should be covered under warranty, along with the labour. Secondly, they went straight to quote and are now looking to charge us another £330.00 to change a £30.00 bearing! We have been told to take it or leave it. Disgraceful attitude, they have taken no responsibility for an inferior job. Should be a Zero Star option.

Steer clear. All was great until it came to a warranty claim. Customer service took 3 months of hassling and convincing that their assembly was at fault. During that time I was being ignored for days on end and eventually they lied about who they bought it from to try and pass the blame. They now refuse to tell me the name of the actual supplier. No apology for the time they have wasted and they expect me to pay postage to return an item with no guarantee that I will be refunded, even though the manufacturer agrees with me that Gibbons is in the wrong. Appalling.
