Pleasant staff. Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere. Had an omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. This was made perfectly. The chocolate mocha was nice also.

I’ve occasionally been to this place for breakfast for many years - originally it was called Latuske and was run and staffed by professionals, and the food and service were excellent. Since it’s changed ownership, the quality has dropped in spectacular fashion, despite the menu hardly changing. The barista, kitchen and waiting staff are very young (I’m assuming this is to cut costs in staffing wages). I’ve also noticed they are always looking for new staff. The table we sat at was not clean, and nobody approached the table in an attempt to rectify. I ordered Eggs Royale. There were small pieces of shell in both the eggs, which were also undercooked. However I was very hungry and ate the cooked parts. My partner had the vegan breakfast. The potatoes were clearly reheated, possibly not for the first time and the plate smelled strongly of eggs. When the water - who was very polite - asked how the food was, I told him about the undercooked gritty eggs and smelly plate. He then said he would talk to the owner, but when I went to pay, the owner was hiding in the kitchen, which was clearly a missed opportunity to resolve the situation there and then. With 2 teas, the bill came to over £24. My partner and I are very disappointed and will never return. Overpriced, unprofessional, unhygienic and poor quality

This place used to be great when it was called Latuske and it was run by professionals. We had a similar bad experience a few years ago when the new owners took over, but we wanted to give them another chance, clearly a bad idea. I ordered the vegan breakfast £9.50: they didn't clean the table before serving, the plate smelt of eggs, the avocado had black bits, I asked for granary bread and got white bread, the baked beans were all over the plate, and the potatoes were clearly from yesterday. My partner ordered eggs benedict, they were uncooked and had bits of eggshell. The staff are very young and despite being polite, they don't know how to handle complaints. I didn't eat and the owner hid in the kitchen when we went to pay, they didn't apologise or didn't offer an alternative. Never again, overpriced and very low standards.
