Greeting staff were pleasant…staff on the boat were friendly but not particularly attentive…we had to ask for drinks while others who boarded after us were being asked their order… Food was 2stars!!! It wasn’t good…it’s brought in fish & chips from a local chippy & was tepid at best, peas were cold! & margarine on the bread that was AWFUL…would it be difficult to provide what is advertised Bread & BUTTER! Don’t think I’d recommend You’d be as well buying fish & chips in Penkridge and having a stroll along the towpath! Canal cruise was mediocre stopped for a while just to stretch out the time😟

Loved the experience! Highly recommend. The only issue was that I asked for no pork, and they put sausage rolls in the afternoon tea, so that was disappointing as they didn't follow the dietary restrictions.

Took a day boat hire yesterday and had a fantastic day, despite the terrible weather. Boat was super clean with everything that you could need for the day. We ordered a breakfast box too which was absolutely superb. The handover from lovely Shane was great and gave us as, (almost) first timers, clear instruction and the confidence we needed. Would highly recommend George's Canal Cruises and will definitely be back in sunnier weather !

The barge was beautifully laid out for our afternoon tea, just like a top restaurant. Then the barge slowly sailed along the canal and the food was brought out on lovely china stands, by very pleasant, friendly staff, couldn't fault anything, gorgeous trip.

We had got my mom a ticket for her birthday for the fish and chip cruise. We all absolutely loved it. The staff were all so polite, especially the lad who was serving us, fish and chips were great and it was generally just a lovely experience. Next on the list will be afternoon tea. Highly recommended.
