Nice place for a coffee and to play a board game etc with the kids! The only reason I give 4 stars is that Geek Retreat does a bit of everything, but not to the best of its ability! I'll explain... They sell Pokémon cards (but not the best range), Warhammer (Lacking in choice), Citadel paints and brushes (1 type of brush, many paints missing). My recommendation is to focus on a few things and do them really really well rather than focus on many and split yourself too much.

Café with fresh coffee, milkshakes, and sandwiches. A place to go if you are into board games. When I walked in, I struggled to spot a menu board on a wall or table. Asked the counter staff if they had one and was handed a wooden clip board with two well loved paper menu's attached. Went along with my autistic 13yo and ordered the Chocolate Thunder Milkshake and Cheese Burger. The pleasant staff informed me that they were short of one ingredient for their shake, but that was fine as hazelnut spread isn't his favourite. The service was prompt, and my son loved the shake. The burger bun was covered with a flour dust topping, which my son had sensory issues with. I like to pop into the centre of Wakefield for a coffee and cake, but there seems to be no cake or suitable side offering here. I can say that I did enjoy my Americano.
