The food was incredible! Proper French cuisine, cooked well, with perfect seasoning! The service was attentive without being overbearing. It was a busy Friday evening, and the space was relatively close, and there was a sense of urgency to the service (getting people in and out so that more people could come in), but not enough to spoil the evening. Vegetarian options: There were a number of options which all looked appetising.

Very popular local bistro. We dined there last night and the experience was mixed. Service was very slow. Nearly an hour between courses. The oysters were from Malden and were a bit dry to be honest. The moule was pretty good and the mushroom risotto was on the small side, tasty but again, a bit dry. We had the Picpoul de Pinet which was very good but sent back the Petit Chablis as it was very thin and tasteless. We had the Fleurie which wasn’t bad and also another white which was forgettable. I have been here several times and usually the Gazette is excellent so hopefully this was just a glitch.

Great local bistro producing good quality well priced traditional French cuisine. Have had a few great meals there including tartiflette, beef bourgeon and coq au vin. It's also well worth a brunch/lunchtime visit for a traditional omelette or croque monsieur. Well worth a visit whatever time of the day!
