The worst hospital ever. Do not ever go to this place and do not rely on them. They changed their decisions 5 times , did an unnecessary wait and watch and in the event wasted precious time jeopardising the life of a 7 year old . Will sue them for this . 1. 9th May, 2023 - My son of 7 years fell down late evening and broke his left wrist. We rushed him to Newham general hospital and the X-ray showed both bones broken. The A&E bone doctors came and said that they would try a manual fracture reduction and if it’s not successful he will need a surgery. After manual fracture reduction, we weee told one bone was put in place and the other was not and that he would need a surgery and we would get a call from gateway surgical Center or royal London next morning . NEVER GO HERE WITH A CHILD. 2. We got an appointment for 12th May , 2023 at the gateway surgical Center and post X-rays we were told that his arm bone is further deviated . But they won’t do a surgery at this moment as they would wait for another week and then take a call for surgery or remove the half cast and replace it with a full cast next week. The X-ray technicians reported the X-ray looked bad. 3. Next Friday ( 19th May) at the appointment , we were told that his bone had further deviated. The consultant said he would require a surgery but would have to consult with her senior in royal London. The senior rejected the idea of a surgery . We were told that , surgery is no more an option as he was past 10 days . His bone has deviated and the only option is to allow the body to naturally straighten the bone. They said that they would remove the cast after 3 weeks and allow natural healing and hope for the best. So , they could have done the surgery outright as planned and advised at the A&E but they did not and wasted precious time trying to do wait and watch and now they had no option other than to hope body heals it by itself which is unlikely as his bone has deviated further or to do a osteotomy on the 6th month. A little child now has to go through the stress of seeing his hand completely messed up ( as they had informed) when the cast is removed and we as parents will have to go through next 6 months hoping some miracle happens . They changed their decisions 5 times , wasted precious time and has jeopardised the life of a 7 year old . I will report this to the highest levels and take all actions against them.

Recently, my mum had a knee surgery at Gateway Surgical Center. It was absolutely wonderful experience, I could not believe it. Highly professional atmosphere and great service. The ward had all the necessary equipments, it was very clean and the food was nice too. Even the view was fantastic. All the staff at the hospital were highly qualified, carrying and very attentive. Especial thank you to the surgen Mr. Hussein Taki and anesthesiologist Dr. K. Shafeek, they made my mum feel safe and kept her spirit up during and after surgery. Great teamwork. Best greetings to the surgery. God bless you all.

A welcome addition to Newham general for day surgery. Has a friendly core of staff and the road it on is unnamed. Buses stop outside, it has electric charging points. Parking is pay by phone. Disabled parking is free. Disabled access is good.

I have had hip surgery at Gateway and the staff and attention from them was excellent. If you are worried don’t be. You will be in good hands from surgical teams and nurses and catering assistants.

I had midfoot fusion and everything went so well. Staff from the front door at meet and greet to the very last person who wheeled me to the carpark were all so friendly. Thank you Yasmin for looking after me, Rita, Lucy, Esla, surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre staff. And thank you for those who held my hand, that was assuring. Your kindness and smiles were going long way and so much appreciated 💗 place was nice, clean and calm.
