Booked my car in for mot & service. No confirmation email or text that it was booked in, had to call to double check day before booking. Told to bring the car in for 8am, received no time frame as to when it would be done. Called around midday to ask about how it was doing and a time that it would be completed. Was told it ‘should’ be done around 5pm. Never received any text or email to say the car was ready to be picked up. So went to pick it up at 5pm which it was ready to be picked up?? Thanks for letting me know it was ready. Upon picking up my car after paying, I noticed that the back of the car was damaged as seen in the pictures attached to this review. Couldn’t do anything at the time so was sent away and told that a manager would contact me, I’m still waiting to be contacted. Very disappointed with Gates of Woodford and would be even more appalled if they don’t repair the damage that was caused to my car whilst on their property and in their possession.

Better communication at time of booking. More competitive prices. Better selection of parts held. Following this review, I received a call from Ben Small, Aftersales Manager at Gates. He was sorry that my Service and MOT experience was not up to standard this time. He wanted to make reparations so, by way of apology, he reimbursed me for the top-of-the-range, solely available, rather expensive tyre which I had not choice but to have fitted to my Fiesta. Thank you, Ben. I hope little improvements stop people feeling the way I did and put smiles on faces.
