Booked at this branch because the one in Harlow, close to me were "too busy". I've got 1 year old car bought brand new from Gates with an electrical problem. When I made the booking I was told to leave the car for the day. Arrived there to find out they need 2 days to "monitor the battery". So I had to be late at work because I wasn't prepared to be without a car for few days. After 3 days, they've done absolutely nothing. On the 4th, they decided to do an instant current draw reading but without the car being locked or stored overnight. They believe is absolutely normal for 1 year car with 1 year old battery to go absolutely flat to 7V only after 3 weeks of non use. They only charged the battery and was "good to go". Which was fine one hour after I collected it from service. However only after one night, the battery was drained again and one of the indicators was that the auto start-stop feature doesn't work anymore because the battery is not full and it was at much lower voltage than normal. Even my wife which has no idea about any technical stuff could have done a better diagnosis. Like all other Gates branch absolutely useless. So now I have to do it myself and when I identify the problem go to a different garage which is not Ford.
