Absolutely loved the two Julie’s @ gatehouse brides. This was my first wedding dress shop I had visited and I walked out with a huge smile on my face because I said YES to the most amazing dress. Not only that, the two Julie’s made me feel like a princess. So warm and kind which made me feel so relaxed. Firstly- Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have have been passed this shop a ridiculous amount of times throughout my life- peering inside every time to see the dresses in the window and getting a glimpse of brides trying on so many beautiful dresses! A little pinch- me moment happened when I turned into one of those brides and was given the opportunity to try on so many wonderful gowns! This was made even better by the amazing customer service I received while at Gatehouse Brides! Julie made my family and I feel very welcome and quickly showed us she knew exactly what she was doing. I went in with an open mind and some vague (and rather opposing) ideas of what I'd like to try on from the sample Gatehouse Brides has online. Julie was a complete expert and guided me through my choices, showing me a few examples of things to make sure I definitely didn't want that style and ultimately helping me say 'yes to the dress'!! She was incredible! Julie picked up on what I was feeling and gave me extra information/guidance on everything I tried on. After just a few dresses, she'd figured out what I liked/wanted and the last dress she pulled was the one (although we did re-try a couple on her recommendation to double check!). I have honestly never felt so beautiful and special, as I did trying on dresses here. It was everything I wanted the experience to be! Although I don't get to try on any more dresses, I am sure I made the right decision with the help of both Julies at Gatehouse brides!

I had the most wonderful experience with Julie and Julie. I couldn’t believe that the dress they had selected for me to try on first was the dress I said ‘yes’ to. They are utter magicians! Julie took the time to have a detailed phone call with me beforehand to talk through the sort of thing I liked and what I didn’t want, so she could get a good idea of the sort of dress I would like to try. And she got it bang on! Gatehouse Brides was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They have a beautiful selection of dresses and they make you feel so special. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Experience exceeded my expectations! First wedding dress shop I went to, and after the first visit I knew I didn't need to look any further. Julie made me feel so at ease and special. She listened to what I wanted and really looked for the best dresses for me. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision on the spot or didn't feel like I was pushed to go for the most expensive dress (as you could feel when going shopping in some places). I saw a dress online from a designer the store works with, Ellis Bridal, and Julie happily arranged for a dress to be loaned to the shop for me to try on. I am so thankful to have found this place and would recommend it to any bride to be. I haven't had a chance to purchase any myself yet, but the store also has a great range of accessories and bridesmaid dresses available in all colours and shape.
