I truly wonder why Lynne's place has only 3 stars on Google... The guestbook is full of amazing reviews from the past 10 years! I've read the previous comments and : Yes the owner's house is adjoint to the cottage, yes the towels are not the newest I've used and yes the double bed is a bit squeaky but honestly everything else is perfect! The house is spacious, clean, we had everything we needed (even BBQ!) and the location is great to visit all of Kent ( we went to Margate, kingsgate, Ramsgate, Sandwich, Canterbury, Deal, Dover, Ashford, Dungeness...) or to just walk accross the nearby fields. Even though, the owners live in the attached house, the garden is completely private and we enjoyed a lot the terrace. Lynne was also very friendly, let us an amazing jar of jam & a rosé wine bottle and she responsed to all of our questions in a timely manner. Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back and/or recommend your cottage.

The cottage was cold. The double bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever experienced, a metal bed frame so as soon as you moved the noise of the metal frame woke you up. Pillows flat so had to use the 4 of them and they continually slipped back and went down the back of the metal framed headboard, worst sleep ever. Poor quality bedding. I would recommend changing it. The towels were well used and should be replaced. The cottage is advertised as one level, which it is, however, the path leading from the car to the front door is not, it’s steep and at this time of year was wet and covered in wet leaves, dangerous for anyone with a mobility problem, this should have been kept clear. If you had a wheelchair then you would have a problem accessing the property as we did! I was extremely annoyed to be informed by the owner I was being charged £15 for a late checkout, checkout was 10.00hrs we checked out 09.55hrs, which can only lead me to believe I was being watched which I found creepy bearing in mind the owner lived next door to the property! On a more positive note, if you want to be cut off from the world for a few days then this is the place. Very quiet which was great and the garden was great despite having to negotiate the stairs, again a problem for mobility issues. Would we stay here again? Never but it served its purpose!!

Had a lovely stay with my Mum and our dog, at the cottage. It was equipped with everything, even down to a dog towel. It is in a beautiful location and is so quiet even though you're only 4 miles from everything.
