Lovely restaurant serving delicious food. I visit this every year when I come to Newmarket for the racing and I'm always glad I did. Great variety of dishes with several things I can't find elsewhere. Particularly love the curries with fruit in them so this place suits me. Nice staff, fast service and good value.

I have lived in Mildenhall all my life, and have probably been guilty of being one of those that overlooked Gandhi. However seeing that it has been in town for over 40 years, around a year ago we gave it a try. Since then, we always get Indian takeaways from Gandhi. The food is competitively priced, it tastes amazing (Chicken Tikka Balti especially) and the service when collecting is always good. I can't comment on eating in as i've never tried it.

We came to stay in the area for a weekend and decided to get a take away. We ordered a Sag paneer, which arrived with some melted cheese on top but had no paneer in the sauce! The food arrived cold and there was a distinct lack of chicken in the curries. When we phoned and spoke to the manager he told us “that it was unacceptable to complain and we were never to order from them again”. Based on this feedback we have crossed their name off the lodge “recommended” list. We understand that it is a Saturday night but the attitude of the manager was awful. Don’t order from here if you want an accurate and tasty order.
