Very disappointed in the customer service of Game in Fareham. We ordered an xbox online, went into the shop to collect it, but we were turned away twice. First time we were told that there is only one person who can process online orders, as she wasn’t there that day, we needed to go back. We asked when she will be in, we agreed on the date and we were meant to believe our stock was reserved because my name was put down on it. I wanted to share my phone nr “just in case” but I was told they cannot take it due to “data protection”. When we went back on the agreed date the person was not there and neither the stock. The staff showed zero care, empathy and help. I did try to contact them before we turned up, but they don't have an actual phone connected to the phone line, the chat service is not available and even their Facebook account is closed down. Clearly they don’t want customers to find them. They have no visibility of stock levels, so we were told try the Portsmouth store which had no stock either. I don't understand how the stock cannot be seen online, this is such an outdated system. At the end we ordered the xbox from Smyths and the unit was collected within an hour from placing it online! The staff was friendly and helpful - nothing like at Game! No way we will spend any money at Game again, we rather shop online or find a place where the workers actually care about clients.

Just popped in to see if I could finally purchase a PS5 after seeing it was available in store online, only to be told that I couldn't purchase the console by itself and rather had to buy it as a bundle starting cheapest at £570, which wasn't stated online at all.. on top of that staff member talking to me decided to walk off mid convo when I refused to buy. Plain wrong business practice to take advantage of customers and rude staff, take your money elsewhere
