I put a claim in 6 months ago due to a leak in my ceiling. The council were at fault due to the delay and conditions of the roof. Being a leaseholder I am limited to the council’s resources. I was emailed the claim would be settled within 3 months, I was verbally told email responses would be picked up within a week, this information is far from the truth. The customer service is appalling. I want to redecorate my flat sort out the mould as myself and my 8 year old son are living within these conditions. This company is taking longer than needed for the payout when I have provided quotes and all information needed since my claim. Expect disappointments, lack of communication and long wait times.

This is a shockingly unprofessional company. Their client drove into my lane which smashed my wing mirror. I contacted a local mechanic and asked a guid price to replace the wing mirror and time to do so. The genuine parts is £250 & he would charge £75 for Labour. I sourced and replaced the parts myself which was not genuine parts to keep the costs down, fitted myself to also to save them money, done this got £85 and they would only pay half.

Dealing with these guys was painful. It took over a year for them to sort it out, they blamed the client multiple times and ignored many many calls and emails. In fairness, Dylan got back to me but my main point of contact was Keegan who was terrible. If you have the displeasure of dealing with these guys, just pray you don't get Keegan.

This firm is dealing with my claim against my local council... Very wishy washy responses and claimed to make a decision if the council is liable within 3 months, they are definitely sitting on it for the full 3 months, meanwhile my garden has been smashed to bits.. Rubbish !!!

In November 2020 Gallagher Bassett had been assigned as a claims handler for a case of vehicle damage caused by a councils unlawful removal of my vehicle. To this date they have still not resolved the matter. For something that they say would have been resolved in three months they have done nothing but drag this case out for almost two years. Their attitude towards this case has been less then professional and have shown no interest in any resolution from the start. Using rhetoric like 'can't I just drive the vehicle as it is?' and 'why don't I just claim on my own insurance instead?'. Specifically David Ross, the person who was assigned to this case has shown nothing but contempt towards me and this case. I have called him on countless occasions for updates and his attitude is always as if I'm bothering him whenever I call. The impression I get is that the case file or emails are not looked at by him as when I do speak to him it is clear that he has not read my emails or taken the time to ascertain if his client has provided any updates. To get any updates from him I have to continuously call and there are no further updates unless I call again. My calls are never returned and more recently he has stopped taking my calls altogether. I have been attempting to contact him for over a month now and my calls to his direct line are never picked up. I have resorted to calling the office directly and request to be put through to him. I am just asked to leave a message but never receive a response. On the last occasion I was told that there was something wrong with his phone and he would call back, no call back was received. I thought it was just incompetence but it is now very clear that they have a deliberate strategy to ignore my complainant and hope that I will eventually give up and go away. Disgusting treatment, assigning Gallagher Bassett to my complaint has been a total waste of my time. They have achieved nothing but to waste almost two years. Does anybody have similar experiences with them?. Are there professional bodies that complaints about them can be referred to?.
