Has repaired and serviced my long-defunct precious vintage Sony cassette recorder beautifully. I'm entirely happy with the process. I posted it to Galaxy Repairs as I live out of London. Galaxy has done the work very promptly and sent it back to me securely all within a few days. The fee was as quoted - an expensive job but it's a niche piece of equipment and it felt worth the cost, to know it was being done by someone who knew what they were doing. It's working like new, and miraculous to be able to play tapes I made over 30 years ago and hear them crisp and clean as though made yesterday, and to know that the machine I'm playing them on won't damage these lovely old tapes! Thanks for your help.

Called about fixing my Rega Planar 1 cartridge, told me to bring it in the next day. Took one look at it, quoted me £100 and asked when I needed it done by; told him the next day. Said no problem. He stayed open late for me to pick up my deck, and when I get back home the deck is working perfectly. Very quick and professional.

Brought a Pioneer unit for repair (stuck CD tray), initially quoted £100, then upon bringing the unit it became £150, back to £100 after complaining. And they only take cash (dodgy?). But that's nothing, the CD tray is till stuck and it doesn't open, it opens only every 5/6 attempts. A waste of money, very disappointed...
