Watch them there dwarf ash trees they're very old and some very fragile, and watch them there grikes & fissures, you wouldn't want to break an ankle now. Try the yew tree path – it takes you past the limestone pavement and woodland (you'll be blown away) and you won't find a more peaceful location than this. Deers are often seen in the evenings. You can also continue on to Hawes Water – Lancashire's largest natural lake.

An almost unique environment, sadly bashed about in recent history. Now in responsible hands for our future. Playground: None Restrooms: None Dog-friendliness: Dogs are permitted — on a short lead — on the rights of way traversing the reserve. However, it would appear that many people are incapable of following this simple instruction. The remainder of the reserve is home to easily disturbed wildlife; therefore DOGS SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT TO THIS RESERVE.

Lovely place for a short walk, a little hilly and paths are uneven in place. Dog-friendliness: Nice area for dogs to go
