We asked Oliver Tong of Greenwood Environmental to advise us about a family member’s arboricultural issue. Oliver communicated with us at length over the phone and via email, carried out a survey within days and emailed the written survey data soon after. Not only did Oliver answer follow-up questions promptly, he also provided reams of helpful and reassuring information (including a power point presentation which focused on the area relevant to our query). Oliver was a patient teacher as well as an obvious expert, and he was unfailingly generous with both his expertise and his time. Dealing with him was an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend Greenwood to anyone requiring arboricultural advice.

Greenwood Environmental assessed a plot of land with a Yew Tree on behalf of a group of neighbours seeking to object to a planning application. The tree survey raised relevant planning issues in addition to covering the significant risks to the viability of a beautiful tree. Subsequently this application was refused because it breached planning guidelines. We were very pleased with the professional input Greenwood gave.

A friendly, helpful company who sorted out performing a survey and getting me a report quickly so that my mortgage company would agree to lend. The mortgage lender gave me only a vague indication that I needed a 'consultant of the Arboriculturalist Association' to confirm the property I wanted to buy was suitable to lend on. After some frantic searching around, I passed this info on to the company via email, and Oliver Tong was very quick to reply with info on exactly what was needed, and at a very competitive price. He arranged the survey with the estate agent, performed it, and provided a clear report within a couple of days. I passed this on to the lender, who were then happy to go ahead. Can only recommend this company to anyone in a similar situation. Thank you again Oliver.
