Fuuego is a hidden gem in the heart of Birmingham, and Ladypool Road’s best kept secret! Definately one for Heyman Review or someone similar to try out!!! What I liked that makes Fuuego different compared a lot of other restaurants on Ladypool Road is their line up of specially made sauces. These are all provided complimentary with a bowl of tortilla chips upon being seated. It was nice to try each one (and agree/disagree on which ones were our favs) whilst we decided on what to order. The sauces had varying levels of intensity and are based on a chilli I was familiar with, the Bangladeshi “naga”/“ghost pepper”/“jolokia” chilli (if you know you know). If you don’t know and would like to taste a different kind of heat, a heat which leaves you craving more, and gets you to that point where you are licking the plate clean then I’d recommend you try this place. We ordered the dynamite shrimp and classic lamb chops which both tasted amazing, grilled and spiced to perfection. We also went for the fully loaded fries which got devoured in literal seconds. Can someone please forward this review onto “Heyman” so that he can show you what I mean? The subtle qualities about this place is in my opinion what makes it different and definitely worth a try! I will be back soon Insha’Allah. Ps. Loved the car themed menu, who else can say they ordered an Aventador last night eh? :)

Saw this place on tiktok & decided to book for a 10th birthday meal. There was 10 of us. Was let down when we were told there was no steaks, no smash burger & no milkshakes but the meals we did order did not disappoint! Highly recommend the El Rickshaw wrap & the Fueego Naga fries. The dining area is quite small, just a few tables and a booth. The bill ended up coming to around £120 for 10 of us, which is definitively reasonable for the quality of food. Will come again to try the steaks inshaAllah.
