I went there with my family on an early Saturday evening. For my starter I ordered an Akbari Boti Kebab and for my main I was going to go for the Tawa Gosht but because I don't mind my food being hot, the waiter recommended the Delhi Desi Lamb. So I went for that and the usual amount of naan I go for when eating a curry, which was 2. The food was all bought out together. The Akbari Boti Kebab was tasty but overcooked, with the lamb being really chewy. I was also extremely disappointed by my main as there was barely enough meat for a quarter of one naan; there was far more meat on my plate with my chewy starter. The sauce the meat was in tasted good, but I didn't feel as though I had received my £14.95 worth of value from the meal. I didn't fuss (for a change). Not enough meat in the dish and the meat was also pretty tough, not tender like I expected. A waste of good lamb meat for both courses. I'm guessing most of the higher rated reviews are from people ignorant to actual Indian food; ignorance is bliss, I guess. I won't be going again at least. Edit: as expected, a passive aggressive yet very impotent response. 👍 I'll knock off the second star for that. Also, heard the great news about this place closing down. Should have happened sooner.

We went last night for a Xmas dinner. The decor inside is quite dark, however the set up is reasonable. The welcome from staff left a lot to be desired. Food was ok however quite pricey when taking into what was eaten/drank. The staff as well as the owners seem always to be in a rush to get you to order starters and mains asap almost as if they do not want you to get to comfortable. They close at 10pm, however when I tried to order drinks at 2157 I was rudely told no by the owner whose customer service skills are totally lacking. When a friend went and ordered the same drinks 3 minutes later he was served ! Wow. If you are looking for a friendly service and welcome go to The Viceroy, however if your not too fussed go here. Ps the toilet rolls on the radiator in the the gents look appalling. This is not the first time we have experienced such rudeness so won’t be going here again. I am hoping the other owner (Sabba) who tends to do the cooking in the kitchen can coax his partner into being nice to customers.
