Reaching the tail end of renovating a fishing boat, my first boat project, we're at the electrics stage, what a milestone. I came across Furneaux Riddall and liked their site's product range and the fact they are based in Pompey, the town I was born. Having made 2 orders over the past few months at a cost of nearly £200, experiencing fast shipping and good quality products I'd finally got all the electrics up and running except the outboard so made my way direct back to Furneaux Riddall and purchased a length of battery cable. On arrival, I realised in my excitement to finish off the install, I'd ordered 3m lengths of cable instead of 4 or ideally 5m lengths. Oops. I promptly made another order for more cable, so as not delay getting the boat finished after such a gruelling project, naively assuming what had seemed like a wonderful company would be happy to forgo a few %margin and support a return (sell the cables on discount). Alas, Martin responded in a very personal manner (how he knew my nickname is astonishing, only my mum called me that when she was angry with me!) Dear Customer, I’m afraid we rarely accept any cut cables back as they are difficult to re-sell. Apologies. Regards Martin Difficult to resell? Well that hole in my pocket will delay making memories with my small children after a year of lockdown by a month or more. Thanks Martin, at least your bottom line is protected aye. In all seriousness. You will get a decent pre-sale experience and fast DPD shipping. If however you experience a problem, perhaps you could be in better hands. I've given a low star after spending £250+ across three orders as there are so many companies out there supplying electricals that to stand out you really do need better service, especially when customers are going out of their way to support smaller business versus Amazon. If I'd purchased via my Amazon prime account the refund would already have been in my account by now. Good luck

Massive stock of everything electrical, really friendly and helpful staff. Great if you're in the electrical business, i use them all the time for my own bits and pieces around the house /garden camper van etc.. Not cheep, but who would want to scrimp on electrics, can be very "unsafe"
