I have recently returned from a weeks fishing at F.M.F. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The chalet was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and modern. The in house food was fantastic. The fishing was amazing with none stop action over six days. There are no silly bait or method bans that mar other venues. We caught ten different types of fish on many differing baits and methods. Many thanks to Jane and co. for a wonderful time. Larry

Ok..so if you want peace, tranquillity in beautiful surroundings then this is the place to be! Willow lodge is perfect for a relaxing holiday, to get away from it all, set within FMF so you can enjoy the excellent fishing (private pegs for the lodge) or the shooting facilities if that is your passion - or neither and just chill out. The lodge has 2 bedrooms which can be made up as doubles or twins depending on your needs. Also.. a bathroom with walk in shower, kitchen/diner area and lounge with tv/dvd combo with freeview. There is an oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and a gas bbq on the outside decking area. The "hallway" from the bathroom to the bedroom has a sensor light on it which is very useful on a night for the bedtime loo trips as it is literally the darkest and quietest place i've ever been to. Just remember to switch it on as you go to bed and then it switches on and off itself as you walk out in to the hall. The lodge is extremely well presented, lovely and clean, towels are provided as is the bed linen and tea towels - laundry bags are provided for you to put these used items in at the end of your stay. Crockery, cutlery, pans etc all provided and there was bits of all sorts in the cupboards such as foil, film, oil, salt, pepper, herbs and kitchen roll, wash up liquid etc - I think there was even some teabags etc but id taken all of this of my own as it was a self catering holiday. There's a bit of cleaning stuff too and a brush etc, just in case you need it during your stay. Gas and electric are included in the price (some places aren't) There is a massive secure storage shed at the side of your parking place which is super useful for the fishing stuff and clothing etc - keeps the lodge clear of all of the stinky stuff. There is a very informative folder in the lodge with lots of useful information which is very helpful if you are not familiar with the area, and leaflets for local attractions can be found in the dresser drawer in the lounge, there are some books and playing cards in there too. The folder also contains instructions for the oven and hob. We fished the pool straight outside the lodge and have to say as a novice who wasn't expecting to catch anything at all (I normally watch or read a book whilst hubby fishes) Well - I had the best time, the fish were almost eating out of our hands, I smashed PB after PB and caught so many different species of fish, you had to see it to believe it, at one point we were choosing the exact fish we wanted to catch - it was great fun. We visited the local river to fish (severn) too and also visited some lovely local towns. We had a really great, relaxing holiday - the wifi is not the best and even our mobile data struggled here but...embrace it...if you can, its nice to relax and shut out the working world for a while. Big thanks to Jane, Ed and Family for sharing their corner of paradise with us, we hope to visit again and thoroughly recommend this place -- and a shout out to the lovely lady in the cafe (sorry I don't know your name) the cafe is great and very good value for money.
