Not knowing what to expect from this comedy evening hosted by Funny Laundering Comedy, I went with an open mind, although beit a little suspicious of what I was about to experience. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the truly funny, warm and engaging act that they were. I particularly remember (fondly) the sketch about the talc "why dont people use me!!?" (maybe you have to be of a certain age to appreciate that one. 😉) The acts that were chosen and introduced throughout the night were truly engaging and the comedy timing was spot on. I enjoyed the variety that was on offer from comedy songs to observational humour. My cheeks were aching by the time I left the venue. I look forward to what the second instalment has to offer...

Went to the first show with a little trepidation as it’s an open mic cabaret it could be terrible and hope that it would be good. Hope didn’t just win it blew the nervousness about a bad show away. Show was done in 2 halves with the host doing routines to open and close each one. First half was stand up and comedy numbers the second more risqué and titillating with burlesque and more comedy and songs. Audience participation worked well when it was asked for in the intimate venue. Good show, well put on and will be going again.

Saw the launch night of Washdown by Funny Laundering and LOVED IT. I've never seen a stand up show before but genuinely laughed out-loud at every act. The atmosphere was so chilled and open, it was a brilliant way to spend an evening. Didn't have any of the food but it looked amazing - will definitely be getting some when we go to the Christmas special 😁
