Having had insurance products for car, home, phone etc for over 20 years this company is by far the most incompetent, dishonest, and worst I have ever dealt with ever. I would only recommend them to my worst enemy as anyone else doesn't deserve to have to put the amount of effort, time and money into receiving what they provide (and I use the word "provide" loosely as I have seen more activity from a "nanobe"). They provide a detailed coverage document with the T&Cs of the product and what is included and excluded (which is great when you first read it as it "apparently" makes clear what they will and won't cover along with the specific conditions). What they won’t tell you is they will retrospectively attempt to apply additional conditions outside of these at the point of making a claim. This is an attempt at trying to prevent anyone making a claim inline with the product they have been sold by Frontier. When you eventually jump through additional hoops (or other “attempts” to block your claim) they will then assign a third party to deal with your actual claim. At this point they will “wash their hands” of anything to do with directly dealing with you and instead forward you back to the third party. This itself would not be a problem apart from the fact they will only deal with any correspondence or queries on your claim online or via e-mail. On requesting to speak to a human within any one of the backend teams (and I will use the term “teams” in the loosest sense as it is more than likely five people running the entire operation) you have no ability to do this and are told it is not provided/possible and refer you back to the online or e-mail method of contact. This is an attempt to fall back on the minimum FCA guidelines that this firm must align to so they can maintain a façade of being a “proper” insurance company and so your claim “times out” enabling them to continue taking your money (if paying on a monthly basis) for doing nothing with a claim. The third party I dealt with had an assessor visit the property to produce a report (which they will refuse to give you any sight of except short quotes from) and this will find any reason to not honour an honest claim. I went to the lengths of having three separate roofing/building companies visit the property with experience of the local area – their findings all directly contradicted the report, but Frontier will provide no means of challenging this nor allowing you to retrospectively claim for a repair from a trusted local firm. This is an attempt to force you to seek a repair yourself (through a “non-approved” repairer) which means they are not liable for the costs. As others have put in their Google reviews, or documented elsewhere online, attempting to lodge a complaint will result in it being dealt with as slowly as possible and in line with FCA guidelines. They put in their own T&Cs the process they will follow and at all stages they will fail to do so; (1) they will not acknowledge your response within the timescale detailed (2) they will not update you on progress within four weeks of the complaint being lodged if they have not issued you a decision before this point (3) I never reached the eight week mark but given seven weeks in they have yet to follow points 1 and 2 of their own process it is unlikely they will do anything else (as others have detailed online they don’t without you chasing them). If I could give the company zero stars it would be too high a review. Go with an honest company who will charge you very little more for a product that does what it actually advertises. Avoid this company at all costs as the only way of receiving anything will be to go to the small claims court to obtain back monies paid for your premium!

Cheap is not always cheerful. My husband spilt a large mug of black coffee on the carpet, which I failed to clean. Frontier said they don't do carpet damage. I thought that would be a basic household content. I will not be buying their insurance again.
