Absolute rip off prices and possible illegal price hikes?! I simply can not recommend this store after what happened to my husband when he went to buy some over-the-counter eye drops for me. Upon scanning the price at the till, the assistant then suddenly announced she couldn't sell the drops for the scanned price of £5.99 but due to "supply issues" the price had increased to £14.99!! A 150% mark up on the recommended retail price. My husband was then forced to pay the exorbitant price increase or walk away without buying my much needed medicine! This is outrageous and possibly illegal?? We most definitely will NOT be shopping here again. Even if there is a shortage of pharmaceutical medicines, chemists should not be allowed to charge what they like, way over and above the legally recognised cost. We shall be taking this further.
