Background I've been traveling back and forth from Scotland to Ripon whist recovering myself from spinal surgery and looking after my poorly mother I travelled to Ripon yesterday to collect my pre-ordered prescriptions. I'd requested them the week before. I got there before 12pm and begged to be allowed to queue for them as an assistant was stopping people queueing I explained my circumstance and she let me queue . Finally served at counter, my prescription was not ready at all and they wouldn't do despite my explaining I only came to get this then am health care appointment in Harrogate at 1pm then home to Scotland for my mum no budge from them I was given my NHS number and told to try elsewhere so went to knaresborough after my 1pm appointment. I spoke with a young man at pharmacy area who had manager on his badge I was so upset I didn't see his name and I'm sorry for that but this young man was an angel. He went over and above to make sure I got my medication even though it wasn't in stock, he sent out for it and after a short wait of 45 mins I had my meds and could be on my way. That was absolutely over and above and I can't thank him more. I think I was at the point of absolute despair and couldn't think straight. So thank you to that fella and his kindness. It meant so much to a distressed old woman.

Thought I'd leave a review after seeing some of the negative ones here. I've been in regularly for almost 3 years and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Never seen any sign of the rudeness or incompetence that others are mentioning.

Rude staff. Wrong medication in with my own. Reduced store opening times so medication is impossible to pick up without relying on others to come in to town for me, and at a specific time. Pharmacist unwilling to assist with questions on safety of a classified medication. Very poor service. I think management want to run it and down and close it sending everyone to St James', Lloyd's or Naylor's.

Staff in here not very friendly. Purchase a paper bag and it is just dumped on top of your purchases, no attempt to open bag and start putting your purchases in, despite no one else waiting to be served. No doubt Covid is to blame!

This store is really run down and needs a refurb. I have no wish to purchase pharmaceutical goods from a place that looks like it needs a good clean.

It's great for prescriptions and chemisty stuff. The paracetamol is out of this world.

What I wanted wasn't on the shelf. When I enquired if they had what I wanted in stock they couldn't have been more helpful. I said I needed to keep an eye out on my dog left in the car. When I came back in, there he was with the item. Thank you for helping a stressed out old lady 👍
