The service we received from Ashok and the lovely teens supporting on a busy Saturday afternoon was outstanding. They were all attentive, knowledgeable and very helpful throughout our time at the store and we were in there for a good couple hours! Visited recently: Contrary to the name: I found this place to be an unfriendly/ unwelcoming shop. I wanted to sell my gold & the young woman who served me wasn’t pleasant. Short of a smile or greeting…She had the cheek to ask for an up -front payment of £15 to check carat using gold gun?!… (Lol 🤣 this a ‘first’ for me speaking as an experienced gold seller I have visited loads of gold jewellers in my time & no one has EVER asked for a payment…for a petty zap)! Honestly!! I found her manner rude & unprofessional …Seriously, just putting the question out?…Do all customers get treated like this in her shop? Or is it the visibly Muslim customers…who get the sub- standard experience here? (Probably the latter ! given the many negative reviews left by Muslims here)!! I couldn’t believe my ears…has she then tried to justify the ‘up front charge’ by explaining how she is “..vulnerable to radiation”!… A word of advice:You do not pass on occupational hazards to your customers. Not a good look 👀.
