I went to revisit the lakes to see how they were after the drought , most of the fish were dead or dying the other week ,the water is up slightly but need a hell of a lot more rain to recover,if only the council would go in and clear out a lot of the reeds that are filling up the lakes now and make it look a lot better ,looks so untidy nothing has been cut back in years ,come on southend council do something about our lakes in southend and shoebury.

Grass not cut on the hill and various other places. Lakes getting smaller and are overgrown. Footpaths blocked by overgrown bushes. Bins often full and overflowing. Shame on the council, letting our local park get like this
