FAQ
What is the signature dish or specialty of your Basque restaurant?
Our signature dish is the Basque-style grilled steak, also known as chuleton. It is a premium cut of beef that is cooked over an open flame and served with a side of roasted peppers and potatoes.Do you offer vegetarian or gluten-free options on your menu?
Yes, we have a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options on our menu. Some of our popular vegetarian dishes include the vegetable paella and the mushroom croquettes. For gluten-free options, we recommend the grilled fish or the lamb chops. How do you ensure the authenticity of Basque cuisine in your restaurant?
We work closely with our suppliers to source high-quality ingredients that are traditionally used in Basque cuisine. Our chefs have also trained in the Basque region and have a deep understanding of the cooking techniques and flavor profiles that are unique to the cuisine. We are committed to providing an authentic Basque dining experience to our customers. What is the ambiance like in your restaurant, and is it suitable for special occasions?
Our restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. We have a rustic decor with wooden tables and chairs, and a warm color scheme that creates a welcoming environment. We also have a private dining room that can accommodate up to 12 guests for a more exclusive dining experience. Can you recommend any specific Basque wines or drinks to complement the food?
We have a selection of Basque wines and ciders that pair perfectly with our dishes. For example, the Txakoli white wine is light and crisp, and goes well with seafood and vegetable dishes. The Rioja red wine is full-bodied and pairs well with our grilled meats. We also recommend trying the Basque cider, which is slightly tart and refreshing, and is a popular drink in the region.Reviews

All good, as always! Not many people there which was a little worrying. Maybe because early, but it was Friday and pre-theatre. Lovely food, service and excellent value. Thanks!

Great experience, great food and great service. Best French restaurant in town as far as I'm concerned. Did come here a few times, never been disappointed. Had the dinner menu for 22 £ and all the flavour really brought back some memories from home. The "onglet" piece of beef was cooked to perfection and the game was very well seasoned.
