I originally found FLC because I was looking for a language school that really knew how to cater for the individual. I was nervous about learning French because I didn't have a good experience of learning it at school. However, FLC managed to help me overcome my fears and two years on I continue to love learning French. I am an experienced and qualified teacher and I think that the level of teaching and curriculum design at FLC is outstanding because of the different ways the school encourages you to apply and discover the language. I have a lot of fun in my lessons and look forward to the soirées where the students get together to chat in French and watch films and listen to music. My French lessons are now my weekly treat. I highly recommend!

I adore my lessons. The structure has been tailored to meet my needs, my French has improved enormously over the last year and I am so much more confident. I have been given guidance and gentle nurturing. I initially took classes which were small and fun, I changed to individual lessons when my schedule changed meaning I needed the flexibility that individual lessons offered. The location is easily accessible and worth the travel if it's not close by as is my case :) French classes feel like a weekly treat rather than the daunting chore they have been in the past. I would definitely recommend FLC.

The FLC school proved to be an excellent choice. I was looking for a French course for couple of weeks and each time I found it quite disappointing. Two years ago I got in touch with Marie & she invited me for a free taster lesson - I immediately fell in love with the school! She’s energetic, passionate about teaching and she’s got a great sense of humour! I’m always in a better mood after the classes; Marie is very professional and puts a lot of effort to make the lesson interesting. The atmosphere in the classroom is open & friendly. I stumbled across this site and decided to call up on a whim. I had studied french a long time ago but due to timings, distance had been put off. I am glad that I took up this challenge as I found this to be my best decision of the year. I had a great one to one with Marie to ascertain what level would I be suited to and then i was off. The convenience of location, timings and ease of learning has been a real joy. The teachers are dedicated professionals and its a joyful experience to be a part of a learning group that is enhancing the entire experience of language learning. The approach to learning in terms of class sessions and style of teaching is very productive and helpful not to mention entertaining. The monthly get togethers are a great way to share our learning experience and a real treat. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of learning french, this is it. Nothing beats human interaction so let go of lingua phone and rosetta and start learning the "real" fun way.
