A simple review cannot do justice to the amazing French teacher that Valerie has been for me the past 2 years, taking me through my A level qualification. I arrived, back in October 2019, not being able to construct a sentence, but after spending 3-4 hours a week with Valerie, I can nearly now have complete confidence in my ability to form full paragraphs and hold conversations. Valerie has always been kind, lovely and always willing to go the extra mile to facilitate me with my learning, and has always been flexible to when I want to come to lessons. Over the lockdowns, we had lessons online, and it was honestly no different. A teacher who can still manage to engage a student even online for months, in my book, is a great one.

I have had Valerie as a teacher for about 6 months now and have now completed my exams. She has been an amazing teacher and helped me gain confidence with tackling exam papers which in the past had proven difficult. We worked on many essays, and she gave me lots of improvements and ideas to push my essay writing level from a a very basic level to B's and A's. She also helped me with many translation exercises and grammar topics which were essential for my exams. I would highly recommend her, she's a wonderful teacher!

I have attending French conversation classes with Valerie for over a year now. I heartily recommend her. She takes the time to understand what my goals are and works to ensure that we are covering the content that meets my needs. She is very gentle when she corrects me so that my confidence is not dented! I feel that my French has really improved and it has been very helpful to cover more technical French vocabulary for my job as well as becoming more fluent in my conversational French. Valerie will put you at ease very quickly and I would recommend her!
