I attended the Wednesday bike night this week at Freestyle, had good food and a good catch up with friends at this excellent venue. When I went to leave I found my bike had a puncture, luckily they sold tyre plug kits and the staff could not have been more helpful, letting me use the workshop space and compressor. Big thanks to everyone there.

I like to support local indies but am a little shocked to receive a bill for £206 for an oil change today. I asked Freestyle to look at whether there may be an issue with oil leakage. It's a new, to me, KTM and only done c2K (5 months) miles since major service, so worried about a leak. There were no leaks, but to be told about my discs, tyres, chain and sprockets wearing, was not what I requested - I can see all that myself. Also, I went into Wadhurst while the bike was being worked on. I was told I'd be rung on completion, I wasn't. Perhaps because it didn't take two hours!?! The rate has gone up since last visit 5 months ago (£80 per hour). More positively - nice people, great showroom/kit and good cafe. I'll stick to them!
