They take weeks or months to process claims requests and the policy includes multiple terms and conditions that prevent you from being able to make a claim against a treatment. For example, alternative therapies such as chiropractic treatments will only be approved if you were referred by a GP, which no one ever really does before visiting a Chiropractor. They know this and so that's why they make it a requirement because they know most people will forget to do this. They also know people might skip visiting their GP if their pain is severe and an urgent visit with a therapist is needed. So, they've carefully crafted their policy so that it's complicated to understand with multiple clauses they can refer to to justify not paying you out for claims. When you manage to somehow meet all their requirements for a successful claim, you can expect to wait a minimum of 1 to 2 months just to get your money back. Edit: Your response that your intention is to ensure I receive the most appropriate treatment is not believable. In reality, you're doing this to make the process more complicated and increase your chances of being able to reject the claim because you know the likelihood of clients getting a referral first before undergoing treatment is lower. So, please, don't waste my time with this feedback to my review.

I am a new Freedom Worldwide policy holder. Freedom Health has provided me with the absolute best insurance support experience I have had in my lifetime. Lynne, in policy support, went "that extra mile" to provide me with the policy information I required to ensure I fully understood the details of my new Freedom Health policy coverage. Additionally, Desiree, in claims support, also addressed my claims questions flawlessly and completely. Both Lynne and Desiree were extraordinarily helpful, friendly, courteously and addressed all my questions and concerns. I am thrilled with the support I have received to date, and I appreciate the wonderful support I have received as a new Freedom Worldwide policy holder.

Definitely the worst health insurance I've ever had and I'm from the US. One of my claims took 4 months to resolve. I was told that this was due to employees going on holiday. Most companies would account for this and just not leave their customers hanging. When they finally paid it they didn't even pay the full amount. It was such a stress as the bill was large and I could afford to pay it as a freelancer. Meanwhile I was getting letters from the doctors office. My second and last claim with them went better it only took them two months to pay it. But I was once again given the same excuse of employees being on holiday and it was October. You're really not saving anything with this company avoid them if at all possible. Also I was never able to get anyone on the phone don't know if that had to go with me having a German phone number or what.

I had some skin rashes and want to see dermatologist my GP gave referral letter and mentioned this is only happen now and had no pervious history like that. But still freedom insurance want more details from my GP which he provided. But still freedom didn't issue any authorization code. In meanwhile my GP prescribed me another medicine and my skin got better. there is no Point wasting money that kind of Insurances although i had my private insurance for last 16 year and first time i switch to freedom and i found them worst.

Unfortunately I am experiencing many of same issues listed by others below. Upon further research, I have discovered that Freedom Health Insurance have an untypically low score on Trust Pilot compared with other insurers. A lot of people have sighted similar issues around not paying out on claims, making life very difficult for their clients, not listening to experts in the field, and playing around with semantics, making the definition of a previous health condition anything they want it to be. I have had delays in response times. Apparently this is due to staff leaving, and new staff taking over my account. I started my claim at the end of August. It's now the end of February, and Freedom still haven't made a decision on whether to pay the claim or not. When I signed up to Freedom Health Insurance, I made it clear that I would be going for a series of health checkups after my insurance started. I wanted to know what would happen if they found something I was unaware of, and they stated that if I didn't have have any previous health conditions there wouldn't be a problem. I asked what they meant by previous health conditions, and they were clear that it needed to be a specific health condition that I'd sought treatment for in the past two years. I really grilled them on what they meant, because as a very active sportsman, who exercises regularly, I sometimes get bruises, DOM's, tired muscles, and stiffness as a result of exercising. They said this does not count as a previous health condition. Cut to the health check up... They found an abnormality on a mobility test. Something that I was unaware of. They suggested that I have further scans done, which didn't show any abnormalities. 8 months later or so, I saw a chiropractor who I see for maintenance a few times a year. I asked him to look at the area with the mobility issue, and he suggested I seek another opinion, and see another specialist. They did some different tests and scans, and suggested I seek treatment to correct the mobility problem, as over the long term it can lead to worsening problems. The only symptoms I've had listed are some stiffness, or soreness, which is something I experience regularly as a result of exercising. All the consultants agree that... 1. It would be normal for me to be unaware of any issue. 2. That I still have no specifically diagnosed condition at this point, but it's important to investigate the mobility issue further. So it doesn't lead to complications down the road. 3. There's no clear way to define what constitutes as a medical condition at this point in time. I have no specifically diagnosed injury, or condition. Hence undergoing further inspection, to be thorough. Some suggestions have been made that I may have something akin to thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), which is essentially due to low mobility. However, the scans I've had don't clearly demonstrate that I have TOS, so the consultants would like to do further inspection. It's a very broad type of diagnosis, which doesn't have a clear starting date, or clear root cause. It can essentially appear and disappear upon making lifestyle changes. Sometimes it can be treated simply by stretching, and can appear and disappear due to daily postural changes. Hence me having no awareness. - Freedom do not like this being the case, because it doesn't fit into a neat box for them to include in their under writing. Freedom haven't communicated internally, so they have said the following. 1. It looks suspicious that a consultant suggested I seek further investigation, after taking out my policy. - I was very clear that I was going have a health checkup after I take out my insurance. I even gave them an indicative date, and they said. Once you've taken out the policy you can go tomorrow if you like. ... Please see screenshots to read on.

By all means do not buy a policy with this insurance. They will not pay for claims when referrals are given. They give the worse excuses arguing that the terminology (no matter how subjective) on the letter means they will not pay. And lastly the customer service received is appaling.
