FAQ

What are your qualifications and experience as a ski instructor?

At FreeSki Scotland, all of our instructors are qualified to at least Level 2 of the BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) system and have extensive experience teaching all levels and ages of skiers. We also require our instructors to have current first aid certification.

What is the instructor to student ratio in your classes?

We maintain a maximum ratio of 1 instructor to 8 students in our group lessons to ensure that each student receives the attention they need to progress. For private lessons, we can tailor the ratio to meet the specific needs and preferences of the student.

What is your cancellation policy in case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances?

If we have to cancel a lesson due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time. We ask that customers give us as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

What equipment do you provide for lessons?

We provide all necessary ski equipment for our lessons, including skis, boots, and poles. However, we do recommend that students bring their own warm and waterproof clothing, such as jackets, pants, gloves, and goggles.

How do you cater to different skill levels and ages in your lessons?

Our instructors are trained to assess each student's skill level and adjust the lesson plan accordingly. We offer lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, and for all ages, from young children to adults. We also offer specialized lessons, such as off-piste skiing and freestyle skiing, for more experienced skiers looking to improve their skills in specific areas.
