It was my second time going today. Overall the food and drink was great. However I was quite disappointed and shocked at the welcome & seating. I booked for 3 guests and when we arrived, we were ushered to literally the end of someone’s table. I reminded the staff it was a 3 person booking and there was a clear lack of caring. I would be hesitant to return as it was uncomfortable for me and my guests. It feels very inappropriate. Better to be situated correctly than like sardines just for money. Disappointing and left truly a sour taste.

We have been going to Franzina for a good couple of years now and it is always good food. My mother in law had come down from Aberdeen, Scotland last night and we brought her here and she was in love - one of the best meals she had - we are always grateful for the lovely and hardworking staff and the consistency in amazing food that reminds me of my nonna's cooking back in Italy. Compared to so many other pasta places in London (and I've tried A LOT) - rarely any can beat Franzina in quality, authenticity, taste and reasonable price! One of the few pasta places that offers one of my favourite dishes, black squid ink pasta! I don't drink but my Scottish mother in law certainly does and she adored the organic white wine and homemade limoncello offered at the end of the night~

The food here is absolutely sublime. I just moved to the area and despite all the restaurants in Brixton it's going to be hard for somewhere else to top this place as my favourite. I went with a friend who is part-Italian and was equally impressed – not least because he had an enjoyable discussion with the Sicilian owner!

Went for dinner here with friends. We booked however they didn’t have a table ready until 30mins after and didn’t get any real communication or information from the staff or the person I assume is the owner with the moustache. After we got seated it was at least another hour until we got our starters and after that they asked if we wanted desert 3 times even though we ordered mains. Mains came 3 hours later. The food was average for the price the wine was ok but not amazing a bit sour. The aperol spritz seemed watered down also. Starters were good.
