We entered Franco Manca Wimbledon Yesterday evening for the first time. We walked up to the front door where we saw a delivery driver arguing with one of the staff. We were waiting a while for the staff to acknowledge us. When we were acknowledged, it seems like we were rushed to our table and also we were not led to a table rather pointed and told to sit down anywhere. It took a while for anyone to take our order. After we had ordered, we were offered tap water by the staff member. Our wine arrived and was served in the tap water glasses, we were not given any wine glass for our wine. Our food came not long after within a reasonable time however there was no tap water still. We then asked another staff member if we can get some garlic sauce and some tap water. The garlic sauce came however again there was no tap water shown. At this point we sucked it up and ate our pizzas which were very nice. We had finished our meals and then we were talking and then after a long time our plates were getting cleared by the same staff member who delivered our food. We were offered anything else which we declined and just asked for the bill. The staff member said no problem I’ll be back in a couple of minutes. We waited and waited again (which seemed to be the norm on our visit). We were growing inpatient trying to get someone’s attention, it was at this point we felt like we were being ignored. Finally we got another staff member’s attention and asked for the bill again. After waiting (AGAIN) we finally got the bill, this was however after the staff member did a million and one different things. It is very unfortunate that I am having to write this review and giving one star as the food served was great and tasty. However it felt like we were just part of the ‘factory line’ so to speak and not treated like actual customers. We felt ignored and left the restaurant unhappy. I hope this review goes to the right people and the service improves as it is such a shame.

Love a Franco Manca pizza. Tasty, chewy, thin wood fired base and a nice variety of available toppings. I like how they try to source local produce, and their non-traditional combinations. There are also a few menu items for people who would prefer not to have pizza (shocking that they exist, I know). It's good value for money too, which is reflected in the fact that tables are quite small and it's a bit cramped. That being said, the atmosphere has a nice buzz and when the weather's good and they open the front it's nice and airy. Besides, you go for the great pizza, not for the elbow room. Vegetarian options: Pizza is pretty vegetarian-friendly. They also do a few vegan options.
