A gem of a garden in the heart of Canterbury. Surprising big. There is a library/prison/chapel built over one of rivers running through Canterbury, a wildflower meadow, vegetable garden, and riverside walk.

In the heart of Canterbury it’s amazing how quiet the gardens are. The quaint and very picturesque Greyfriars Chapel is beautiful. Would be lovely to see the outbuildings fully refurbished and hopefully in time they will be able to.

(Translated by Google) If you walk through the alleys and reach the north of the city center, you will come to a nice park. I was soaked in the peaceful neighborhood atmosphere for a while. It would be nice to buy some simple food from a nearby shop and eat while walking around here. The time to watch the happy couples and the children playing is pleasing to the eyes and healing the mind. There are other parks connected nearby, so it's nice not to be bored when taking a walk. However, if you expect something new and fancy, you will be disappointed.

Overpriced. Waste of money. Used to be free. Reviews seem to default greyfriars garden which is a free garden accessible from stour st. Not at peters st. Really disappointed. Was nice quiet spot and free to visit. Now they charge 6£ per person and it’s worse than it was. Just mown grass (inc the wildflower meadow) and less planting than before. Even the nice old benches are gone. The paths haven’t even been maintained. No sign on of the £10000 worth of planting they say justifies admission (and my visit was early September!) Wouldn’t recommend, even it was free!!!
