Absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience to be on board of this beauty! I felt like being in a time machine, not a submarine. Respect to the current owner for his continuous efforts to bring her to her former glory and of course for saving her from being taken to the scrap yard in the first place. I wish I'd lived in Rochester and help with the restoration works as a volunteer. If whoever is reading this post can commit some of your time to help with any particular set of skills you might be having, i.e. welding, electrical, plumbing, rust proofing, painting and are willing to help in protecting this piece of history most probably the owner will be grateful if you get in touch.
