Perfect fun for toddler aged children. Not too big, easy to get around, and lots of fun things to do. Staff were friendly. Farm shop had nice sausage rolls. £3 entry to farm experience day which we thought was excellent value.

What was meant to be a lovely day out turned rather sour about 3 minutes after arriving. I intended on taking my 18 month old son to see the animals, have a spot of lunch in the restaurant I’d heard wonderful things about and do some shopping in the farm shop as I had equally heard it was great quality. Upon arrival we followed the signage to the farm got round the corner, where my son saw the goats ahead of us got extremely excited as any toddler would, to be then shouted at by a lady by the farm entrance telling me the farm was shut to stop immediately( despite checking THAT MORNING the opening times 10-4) and rather rudely that I had to pay. Of course I knew I had to pay, surely that’s a given and if not, its on the website however I was doing what anyone would do who had not been before and follow the signs to the farm expecting a kiosk there to make payment. If this isn’t the case it should be clearly marked as her comment and general attitude left me quite upset and embarrassed. My son was visibly extremely upset at this point and after being watched walking out the gates to ensure we left, crying toddler in arms, I decided not to continue my stay any longer. Such a shame as I had heard great things and had driven over an hour to spend some quality time with my son however from personal experience, would never go back. Since my disastrous visit I can see they have updated their farm park opening times to now say closed. If only the information was correct that same morning I wouldn’t of had a wasted, embarrassing and quite horrible experience.
