What was once a friendly, caring, efficiently run (multiple) GP practice is now an absolute disgrace, being held up only by loyal staff and Advance Nurse Practitioners. Doctors appointments are as rare as hen's teeth, unless you need a home visit. If you can get an appointment (there's not many available each day) you'll probably see an ANP - and they're very good - but there's not enough of them, maybe two a day max doing the work of the doctors. How the CQC reckon the practice has improved is beyond me. Having to queue outside the surgery at 8am/having your phone on constant redial in the hope of getting an appointment is NOT an improvement. I feel so sorry for the reception & telephone staff having to deal with the daily fallout of this practices failings.

I've been with Four Acre Surgery since I was a child and before C19, I couldn't really fault them. My Mum passed away in 2021 and now I look after my Dad's medical appt's (he's 82) because he's hard of hearing. He's had some issues and trying to call and get an appointment at 8am why also trying to get ready to go my job was an awful nightmare. I once called them repeatedly 139 times and guess what....no appointments available. Dad doesn't understand why it's like this and neither do I to be fair so I also have to deal with his frustration and I can't answer his questions. Then I discovered econsult which was absolutely amazing. All the stress went away and I thought we'd cracked it. Dad is currently unwell and it's bad. Worse pain he's ever had. It's a Bank Holiday, we've been to the walk in, but they can't prescribe the painkillers he needs. Contact your GP they said so I came home and discovered econsult isn't available! Oh my good God!! While waiting, in pain, at the walk in, Dad says it makes you want to give in. Four Acre surgery is a complete and utter shambles and I feel that they are failing their patients big time. Apologies to the receptionists....you all deserve a medal.

Can someone please explain to me. When you book an appointment with you assume a doctor, you are put in with an in house pharmacist. You ring or go to the surgery, as you have a need to speak to a doctor. This makes no sense to me at all. No wonder this surgery is ranked so low. Absolutely disgusted and angry about this

Unfortunately I don't have a good word to say about this Surgery. It's treatment of myself is absolutely appalling. Twice within the last month I have been given dates for a telephone consultation and on both dates I've received no calls. No apology or explanation as to why they failed to call for my appointments. I have now received a further TXT message to Inform me of another telephone consultation on the 14th February, no time is stated. This call is to discuss a letter they've received from the 18th November 2022, nearly 3 months ago!! Absolutely disgusting. The txt message says if you can't make this call or it is Inconvenient, please reply below or contact the surgery. I can't do either as I can't reply to the message or get them to answer the phone's. I can't be sure this telephone consultation is for real or another wind up from the so called "Surgery".

1* isn't even adequate for the way my 11 year old son has been treated, you ring for an appointment and get told there isn't any you complete the online form and no one replies to you. 10 weeks I have tried to get an appointment and in the end I gave up. An absolute shocking health centre and I will be taking this further, The receptionists need some kind of communication training, they speak down to you as if you don't know what you are on about, Absolute disgusting service no wonder it's under special measures.
